Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Maison Blaise Labs, LLC ("Maison Blaise Labs," "we," "us" or "our"), based in Newport Beach, California, handles personal information in connection with maisonblaiselabs.com (the "Site") and emails you send to the addresses listed on the Site.

It does not cover information collected as part of a clinical study. If you take part in a study, how your information is used and protected will be explained in the study's informed-consent documents, which are reviewed by an institutional review board.

Information we collect

Information you choose to send us

The Site has no forms, accounts or sign-ups. The only way to send us personal information through the Site is by email. When you email us, we receive your name and email address, the content of your message, and anything you choose to include, such as your phone number, your role or organization, or, if you write about the study, general information about your health.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, when you visit the Site your browser sends standard technical information to the servers that deliver it. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. Our hosting provider processes this information to deliver and secure the Site and may keep it briefly in server logs.

All of the Site's files, including its fonts, are served from our own website. Your browser does not contact Google or any other outside service when you visit.

What we do not collect

The Site does not use analytics, advertising, social-media plug-ins, tracking pixels or session recording, and it does not use cookies to identify or follow you.

Cookies and your settings

When you first visit, a notice asks whether you accept or decline. Both choices are equally easy, and the Site works the same either way.

  • If you accept, your browser saves your accessibility settings (such as text size or high contrast) and your light or dark mode choice on your device, so they are still in place when you come back.
  • If you decline, those settings last only until you close the browser tab.

If you keep browsing without choosing, we treat that as no choice: nothing is saved, and the notice appears again on your next visit.

Either way, your browser stores a small note of your choice so the notice does not appear on every page. This information uses your browser's local storage, which works like a cookie. It stays on your device, is never sent to us or anyone else, and contains nothing that identifies you. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or delete it by clearing your browser's site data.

Health information

Please be thoughtful about what you share. Email is not a fully secure way to send sensitive information, and we do not need your medical records or detailed health history to respond to you. If you are interested in the study, a short note with your name and how to reach you is enough.

If you do send us information about your health, we use it only to respond to you and, if you ask, to let you know when study information becomes available. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone outside the purposes described in this policy without your permission. We do not provide medical care, and information you send us does not become part of a medical record.

How we use information

  • To read and respond to your message and keep a record of our correspondence.
  • If you register interest in the study, to contact you with information about it when it is available. Any screening or enrollment would happen separately, through the study team and an approved informed-consent process.
  • To operate, maintain and protect the Site, including preventing misuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers that help us run the Site and our email, such as our website host and email provider, who may handle information only on our behalf.
  • Study teams, with your permission. We will not pass your contact details to a study site or investigator unless you ask us to or agree to it.
  • Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, under duties of confidentiality.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or legal process, or is needed to protect the rights, safety or property of any person.
  • Business changes, such as a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case information would remain subject to the promises in this policy.

How we respond to Do Not Track signals

We do not track visitors over time or across other websites, and we do not allow other companies to do so on the Site. Because of this, the Site works the same way whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal; no tracking happens in either case.

How long we keep information

We keep emails and contact details only as long as we need them for the purposes described here. If you registered interest in the study, we keep your contact details until the study's enrollment has closed or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation.

How we protect information

The Site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to messages to the people at Maison Blaise Labs who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop contacting you. Email us at privacy@maisonblaiselabs.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Depending on where you live, privacy laws in your state, including California, may give you additional rights. We will honor those rights as required by law, and we will not treat you differently for using them.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

The Site links to independent websites, such as published medical literature. Those websites have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If the change is significant, we will also place a notice on the Site's home page for a reasonable period before it takes effect.
